Charleston Project

The desire to witness this city transformed by the Gospel of Jesus has been etched in the Kendricks hearts since we arrived here six years ago.

Will and Hannah Kendrick, who grew up just 45 minutes apart in Virginia and North Carolina, found themselves 6 hours apart after moving to attend their respective colleges. It was during this time that they decided to pursue a relationship. After getting married, they relocated to Austin, Texas, and received ministry preparation through community at their church. Nine years of marriage later, they have a two-year-old daughter and are eagerly anticipating the arrival of another child. God has been preparing their hearts for the exciting journey of launching a church in Charleston, South Carolina for many years, and there has never been such a time as this.

Will’s specific vision for this church is to reach men between the ages of 20 and 40 who have never encountered God. He envisions a church where “messy ministry” thrives and flourishes. Will is passionate about inviting the people of Charleston to experience Christ and the redemption that only God can orchestrate. We believe that God has an extraordinary story already written for Charleston, South Carolina, and we are thrilled to be a part of this journey.
