Église Saint-Lazare‏

Etienne and Laurence are passionate about reaching Parisians for Jesus Christ. The need for the gospel in the city of Paris is enormous. If Paris had 1 church for every 10,000 inhabitants, it would need at least 150 new churches in central Paris alone!

Etienne and Laurence plan to plant a church in the 9th Arrondissement, where opportunities for outreach are numerous. The 9th Arr. is made up of diverse people – from young workers to homeless, from families to seniors. It is the home to many corporate offices and many people work there. This neighborhood will be a great place to display gospel living in today’s Paris.

Both Etienne and Laurence were born in Christian families. They learned to know, love and serve Jesus alongside their parents in ministry. They met in Strasbourg and married in 1996. Etienne received his Master of Divinity from La Faculté Libre de Théologie Evangélique. Laurence is a Couples and Family Counselor. They have served at churches in the southwest of France, and currently in the suburbs of Paris. They will move to Paris in June 2016 to begin the project.
