The Gathering

The people of The Gathering church in Harlem have the conviction to give themselves to living out the gospel in this community.

With the rapid changes taking place in Harlem, a seismic shift has happened in its demographics and wealth. This often divides the long term residents and newcomers. Lead pastor Charles Wolford and his wife, Jordan, see the need for the ethnic reconciliation that can happen through the Gospel. They are helping to build a church that is multi-ethnic, multi-generational, and socio-economically diverse church unified around the reality that Jesus is Lord. 

Charles shares, "There is still much work to be done in order to continue to impact Harlem with the gospel. Nevertheless, I am inspired by the progress we have made and the hope that lies ahead. I would like to invite you to join us in our mission and help create a Harlem full of hope, where the community is dignified and unified, and where justice, love, and mercy are present."
