Samuel and Chandler Rodriguez

Samuel and Chandler Rodriguez long to see Jesus save the lost, form the believer, and send the disciple in Huntington Beach, California.

They desire to build a church that serves as a home for those searching, a foundation for those growing, and a launching pad for those called to mission.

Huntington Beach is a city full of spiritually open people longing for deeper roots, and Historia is designed to meet them there. As a multi-ethnic, multi-generational, multiplying church, Historia is built around three core realities: the presence of God, the formation of people, and a life on mission — creating a community where people encounter Jesus, are shaped by Scripture and the Spirit, and step boldly into their God-given calling.

Samuel and Chandler each bring a distinct and powerful gifting to this work. Samuel carries over 20 years of ministry leadership with an apostolic and evangelistic calling, having preached and helped build movements across the nation. Chandler holds a Master's degree in Counseling and Psychology and uniquely bridges mental health and discipleship, helping people experience healing and grow in both emotional and spiritual maturity.

Together as a husband and wife team, they lead with both vision and care — committed to a church rooted in God's presence, grounded in Scripture, and marked by genuine community. Married for nine years and parents to two children, Philippa and Maverick, their prayer is simple: to see a church rise in Huntington Beach where people find God, find home, and find their purpose.
