Josh and Tayla Bull long to see a move of God sweep across Melbourne!
The Bulls are starting a new church in the heart of Melbourne, born out of a vision to see people, families, and society transformed by the love and hope of Jesus Christ. Their heart is to create spaces where people can encounter Jesus, belong in community, and be equipped to live out their calling in everyday life. With a deep passion for God’s presence, formation, and mission, they are building a church that exists for the flourishing of the city, sharing the good news of Jesus, cultivating hope, and seeing communities across Melbourne come alive in Christ.
Melbourne, a leading global city of 5.3 million people, is vibrant, diverse, and full of opportunity, but it also faces deep spiritual need. Josh and Tayla see the city as ripe with possibility, where a movement of God could touch families, neighbourhoods, and generations with the hope of Jesus.
Josh and Tayla Bull have been married for eleven years and are the proud parents of two energetic young boys. Their story has always been marked by faith and a deep love for the Church, serving in vocational ministry for 12 years. In 2017, they moved from Australia to South Carolina to join NewSpring Church, investing in the next generation and leading youth and young adult ministries across 14 campuses, impacting thousands of people and developing leaders.
For over a decade, Josh and Tayla have poured their lives into seeing people of all ages encounter the transforming presence of Jesus. Their passion is to see the local church thrive, not just as a building or event, but as a Spirit-filled community where people discover hope, find belonging, and are sent out on mission.
Now back in Melbourne, the Bulls are stepping into a new chapter: starting Society Church. They believe God is writing a story of renewal in this city, where lives will be restored, communities transformed, and generations marked by Jesus’ presence. Their heart is simple yet bold: to see a move of God sweep across Melbourne, impacting society for His glory.
