Valencia Project

Andrés and Sheila are believing for a light that leaves its mark on their favourite city.
For Andrés and Sheila, Valencia is where it all began. They met at art school in the city, drawn together by creativity and a shared sense that their lives were meant to build something that serves others. After marrying, they moved to Berlin and spent 13 years helping build the local church. It was a season of formation: leading teams, developing leaders and building community where people could step into their purpose. Pastors and mentors invested deeply in them, and in the middle of it all, their daughter Joy was born, a miracle they had long waited for.
Eventually, they sensed God calling them back to Spain. They returned with their pastors' blessing and one word: they weren't moving back, they were moving forward.
Soon after, the devastating DANA floods struck Valencia. In the middle of the crisis, Andrés and Sheila gathered people, mobilized volunteers and served communities that had lost so much. Everything that had been shaping them came together: a love for people, experience building teams, and a conviction that the Church belongs in the life of a city. The call to plant a church became clear.
Valencia, Spain's third-largest city, is growing and changing fast. In a country with centuries of Christian history, only about 2% identify as evangelical. Spanish families, young adults, internationals and newcomers now share the same streets, bringing both opportunity and tension. In that tension, they believe the gospel does its most creative work.
Artists have long spoken of Valencia's unique light. Andrés and Sheila are believing for a light that leaves its mark on the city: a community where people encounter Jesus, find real belonging and rediscover their God-given purpose.
Jesus is our blueprint.
